What this letter will cite
- 9 NYCRR § 2523.5 — Owner must offer a renewal lease 90–150 days before expiration. Tenant elects 1- or 2-year term. Failure to offer is a violation.
- 9 NYCRR § 2523.5(c)(2) — Renewal must be on the same terms and conditions as the prior lease, except for rent guidelines increases set by NYC RGB.
- 9 NYCRR § 2522.8 — Adjusts the lawful renewal rent. Increase must conform to the order in effect on the renewal commencement date.
